No matter where I am, if I look through the glistening ferns of palm branches my soul feels lifted. Most of us identify palm branches with vacation destinations, beach resorts, and sunny days. Privileged to live in San Diego California for 8 years, I couldn't look outside without seeing the landscape littered with a verity of palm trees. With this painting I wanted to capture the invasive attitude the palm trees have here. How they seem to photo bomb every angle of this beautiful city. San Diego is known for its laid back surfer vibe. I personally believe we have the palm trees to thank for that.
